Telewave 44D Digital Broadband RF WattmeterThe verification and monitoring of transmit and reflected power levels is an essential aspect of the turn-up and maintenance of public safety and cellular communication networks. With the adoption of digital communications protocols, the need for new test tools and procedures is more urgent today.

Accurate readings of forward and reverse power, along with the ability to display additional information such as peak and average power, crest factor, and calculated VSWR/return loss are crucial. Adding a low level sample port can further enhance the efficiency of onsite personnel by providing a bidirectional path to the inline sensor for applications such as monitoring with a spectrum analyzer, or injecting an RF signal from a service monitor.

The new Telewave 44D Digital RF Wattmeter has all of these features, and provides them within a portable, rugged and economical form factor.

The Telewave 44D represents the latest generation of wattmeter technology addressing the more demanding requirements associated with digital modulations and protocols. The 44D combines the rugged reliability of its predecessor, the 44A, with more accurate and comprehensive measurement capabilities, including:

  • Accuracy ±6% (properly cabled)
  • Frequency Range: 88 to 1000 MHz
  • Bi-Directional Power: 1 to 500 Watts
  • Bi-directional -50 dB SMA Sample/Injection Port
  • Temperature Range – Operating (USB disconnected) -20°C to +50°C / Long Term Storage +20°C to +30°C
  • Modulation/Protocol: CW, AM, FM, P25 (1&2), DMR/d-PMR, IDAS/NXDN, D-Star, Fusion, Tetra, PTC
  • Battery rechargeable via USB - battery life at least 8 hours per full charge, life remain indicator
  • Thru Line Connectors - N Female standard - BNC, TNC, UHF supported (field swappable)
  • Tough metal housing - optional leather carry case
  • Simultaneous Display
    • Forward & Reverse Power (Watts or dBm) (Peak or Average)

Telewave 44 Series Broadband RF WattmetersTelewave Model 44 series RF Wattmeters are compact, versatile instruments used for direct measurement of forward and reflected RF power. No elements, inserts, or bandswitching required. These instruments are ideal for mobile radio installations as well as base stations. Models with a -P suffix include an RF sampling port, with an output 40dB below the transmission line level, for frequency measurement or spectral analysis.

Telewave Low Power Coaxial RF LoadsTelewave offers a full selection of coaxial loads with extremely low VSWR. Applications include hybrids, isolators power monitors, wattmeters, and coaxial line terminations. All loads are built to withstand bench or field use. Power rating provides substantial overload protection. Unlike liquid dielectric loads, these dry dielectric loads can be operated in any position. Connectors have Silver Plated centre pins for optimum conductivity. (Except the TWL-01 with a Gold Plated centre pin).

Telewave Coaxial RF Loads (50W - 300W)Telewave coaxial loads feature extremely low VSWR. Conservative power rating provides substantial overload protection. These dry dielectric loads can be operated in any position. All connectors have gold-plated centre pins for optimum conductivity. Quick-change connectors are standard on Telewave loads from 50W and up, except TWL-60. Specify connector type(s). Straight or elbow-type male-male adaptors available.
